It's the first Italian cocktail week by the sea. This September, the Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week is set to debut, bringing both Italian and international mixology to one of our most beautiful coastlines for the first time. From Vietri sul Mare to Cetara, Maiori to Minori, and through Ravello, Amalfi, Praiano, to Positano: some of the iconic vacation spots in Italy will become the stage for the renowned festival dedicated to responsible and quality drinking.
The event is once again orchestrated by Paola Mencarelli, the "queen of mixology" in Italy. After the success of Florence & Tuscany Cocktail Week, Venice Cocktail Week, and Cortina Cocktail Weekend, she has brought her format to the seaside. The brand new “Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week,” organized with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Ravello, will take place in the best cocktail bars and hotel bars along the coast, in collaboration with the top cocktail bars across Campania. The event will run from September 23 to 29 on the Amalfi Coast.
“Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week” will be a week of events open to both professionals and the public, featuring masterclasses, aperitifs, pop-up bars with the best cocktail bars in Campania, and guest shifts with renowned national and international guests. There will also be cultural initiatives, recreational activities, and experiences aimed at introducing the public to high-quality mixology from Campania. As per tradition, each of the 25 participating venues will offer an exclusive cocktail list for #ACCW24, comprising three types of cocktails:
- Signature Cocktail: A freely created drink representing the cocktail bar.
- Cocktail RiEsco a Bere Italiano: A drink dedicated to Italian-made products from companies participating in the “RiEsco a Bere Italiano” project.
- Cocktail Campania Felix: A drink made with local Campanian ingredients and products.
The festivities will kick off in Vietri sul Mare with the Opening Party on Sunday, September 22, an exclusive event at Giardini del Fuenti in collaboration with Side-B Events. It will feature the most recognized cocktail bars from across Campania, along with a food area and a pizza corner showcasing Campanian gastronomic excellence. The final day will be on Sunday, September 29, in Praiano and Positano.
Finally, the connection with gastronomy will also be present in this first edition of the “Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week.” The synergy between the world of spirits and cuisine, so cherished by organizer Paola Mencarelli, will be highlighted by initiatives like "Dining with the Spirits," "Pizza with the Spirits," and "Pastry with the Spirits." These initiatives will challenge Campanian restaurants, pizzerias, and pastry shops to pair their products with cocktails or to use spirits as ingredients in their creations.
